SBHL: Saskatoon Ball Hockey League

RULES & REGULATIONS

CO-ED LEAGUE RULES
The Co-ed league will adhere to all standard ball hockey rules and equipment regulations (listed in League Info Section), it does however have some rules separate from standard play:

1. No Slapshots (above the knees); Slapshots will result in a two minute penalty.

2. There must be at least 2 female players and 2 male players on the court at all times (including the goalie).

  • A penalized player in the box counts towards a floor player.

3. If a team does not have 2 female players on the court, they forfeit that position, which means they would be down to four players plus a goalie on the floor.

4. A goal scored by a female player counts as two goals for their team.

5. In shoot-outs teams must rotate a female shooter with a male shooter, if a female scores in penalty shots it still counts as two goals for the team.

6. Goaltender Pick Ups: Teams that will be short their goaltender can pick up goalies from another team within the division or can pick up a registered SBHL goaltender from a C division men's team or lower.

7. Female Pick Ups: Teams that will be short a female can pick up females from another coed team to get to four females.

8. Male Pick-ups: Teams that will be short a male can pick up males from another coed team as long as their total runners do not exceed 10 total.
